Dr. Gloria Lesly Jimenez is an Assistant Professor at AGH University of Krakow specializing in photoluminescent lanthanide-based nanomaterials for biomedical applications. Her research focuses on the development of light-responsive nanomaterials for optogenetics, nanothermometry, and bioimaging. Through international collaborations and training at leading institutions in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Poland, and Italy, she has developed interdisciplinary expertise spanning materials science, photonics, and neuroscience. Dr. Jimenez has authored 24 scientific publications, contributed to four international research projects, and served as principal investigator of two funded projects. She has also been an invited speaker at two international scientific events. She is actively involved in scientific mentoring, international cooperation, and the promotion of research partnerships between Mexican and Polish institutions.
